UPDATE: July 4th fireworks

Fireworks light the sky
For the first time in 35 years, severe weather forced cancellation of the Colonial Williamsburg fireworks during the Fourth of July Independence Day celebration. The fireworks will not be rescheduled.

We, like you, hate that we missed the colorful show. However, you may get your fill of fireworks on Friday evenings throughout the summer in the Historic Area. We hope you’ll join us for our weekly short fireworks display at the end of “A Salute to the Nation,” each Friday this summer, at 9:00 p.m., on the Palace Green.

Please plan to attend “A Salute to the Nation,” a stirring tribute to our nation that includes Colonial Williamsburg’s Fifes and Drums and a sound and light show. And enjoy the fireworks at the finale.

“A Salute to the Nation”
July 8th through August 26th
9:00 p.m.
Palace Green
