Reconstruction of the Blacksmith's & Public Armoury

September 20, 2012

What Are You Doing on Friday, September 28th?

What is it going to be?

Save the date!  On September 28th, between 1:45 and 3:30, the Historic Trades Carpenters will raise the frame of the north storage building, the next building in the Armoury reconstruction.  The Roving Webcam will be positioned to capture the action, so if you cannot be present on site, you’ll want to stay close to your computer monitor.

Of course this isn’t the only activity at the Armoury.  Check back very soon for gallery updates on the latest developments!

Funded by a generous gift from Forrest E. Mars Jr., of Big Horn, Wyoming.

  1. Hi Everyone,

Please. I hope that the frame raising will be video taped and available on-line for those of us that can’t watch during the day.

    Have a great Fall season.

    Chris

    • Chris!
Thanks for the suggestion. You will get your wish. The raising is being filmed, and will be up on the blog by early next week…if not sooner.

  2. Thanks for the heads up info. Looking forward to it. I’ll be taking a late – and loooong – lunch hour next Fri. !

As you may have noticed on the webcam, Garland and crew set one wall this morning, but the rest of the frame goes up this afternoon. And all will be captured on film, so that we can watch the replay!
