Does the Constitution Matter?
Today, members of the 113th Congress will read the Constitution into the day’s record. Is this reminder of our founding philosophy still important, or do you agree with critics who call this a waste of time?

This has been called a Republican stunt, but even as a Democrat, I feel it is a good idea. People refer to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights so often that all Americans ought to read it. But even having lawmakers read it is a pretty good start.

I agree, the constitution is actually not hard to understand if you read it, and its shorter than you think. No excuse to call yourself American and not read it.
