Treats await Colonial Williamsburg’s Halloween visitors tonight
If you’re looking for a unique experience for your trick-or-treaters — or if you simply want to avoid the candy-mongers at your front door tonight — Colonial Williamsburg has an activity for you.
The Tavern Ghost Walk explores the ghost stories of taverns and other dwellings in Colonial Williamsburg. Tours on Thursday evening will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and again from 8-9 p.m., beginning at Shields Tavern.
Be the jury in a 1706 witchcraft trial against Grace Sherwood in tonight’s production of “Cry Witch.” Visitors can ask questions of the witnesses, weigh the evidence, and determine the guilt or innocence of “the Virginia Witch.” Performance times are from 7:30-8:30 p.m. and again from 9-10 p.m. today at the Capitol General Court.
The “Ghosts Among Us” walking tour introduces visitors to a cast of ghostly characters who inhabit sites around Colonial Williamsburg. The one-hour program begins at 7 p.m. and repeats at 8:30 tonight, starting at the Greenhow Lumber House.
