St. George Tucker House

St. George Tucker HouseTake a look at the St. George Tucker House before it was restored. The restoration, begun in 1930 and finished in 1931, took a lot of work. View the archival black-and-white picture and compare it to its present-day appearance in the feature “Then and Now.” A printed version of this feature, called “Pleasantly Situated,” appears in each issue of Colonial Williamsburg’s journal.

Grand IlluminationCelebrate Grand Illumination with us this Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010,  in Colonial Williamsburg’s Historic Area. Musical performances on several stages begin at 4:45 p.m. Fireworks displays from three locations—the Palace, Magazine, and Capitol— begin at 6:15 p.m.
